Every love story has its twists and turns, but Ashley and Sean’s journey is one for the books. What began as a bored pandemic project turned into a love story that brought them together, led them down the aisle, and culminated in a stunning celebration at the Ritz Carlton in Chicago.
The Beginning: A Pandemic Connection
During the early days of the pandemic, Ashley decided to create a unique Instagram page, “Ask Ashley!”—a space for small businesses to promote their products. Among her growing list of followers was Rachel, who quickly became a fan of Ashley’s candid and humorous posts. Rachel often messaged Ashley’s with playful jabs like, “Make your bed!” or “Why is there garbage in the background of your photos?” What started as a series of lighthearted comments blossomed into an unexpected friendship.
One day, Rachel casually dropped a message: “Do you want to date my brother? I think he’s around your age.” Ashley, ever the risk-taker, responded, “Sure! Send him my number.”
But as life would have it, Sean didn’t reach out—at least, not right away. Months passed, and Ashley eventually deleted her “Ask Ashley” Instagram page. Still, her connection with Rachel remained strong. A year later, Ashley jokingly called Rachel out about her brother, asking, “What ever happened to that very cute brother of yours? He never reached out.” This time, Rachel wasn’t taking no for an answer. She demanded Sean text Ashley, and with a little persistence (and some friendly sibling torment), Sean finally reached out.
From their first conversation, Ashley and Sean were inseparable. Their love story officially began.
The Journey to “I Do”
Ashley and Sean’s relationship flourished as they traveled across the U.S., bonded over their love for DoorDash, and embraced their large families—10 nieces and nephews included! When Sean proposed, Ashley knew exactly where to go for her dream gown: Dimitra’s Bridal Couture.
Ashely reached out to family friend and bridal consultant Alexandra for guidance. Together, they found the perfect gown: a breathtaking all-beaded and floral appliqué design by Tom Sebastian. Ashley described the experience as nothing short of magical. “Alexandra was the best,” Ashley said, “and Ismini couldn’t have been more helpful throughout the whole process. I felt confident, happy, and beautiful.”
The Big Day
Ashley and Sean’s wedding was held at the iconic Ritz Carlton in Chicago, a venue that perfectly matched their vision of elegance and celebration. Their reception was a feast for the eyes, featuring bold hot pink florals, mirrored accents, and a massive dance floor where guests celebrated late into the night. It was a day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
