High school sweethearts might sound like something out of a movie—but for Jamie and Mason, it’s their real-life love story. From their first dance at freshman year turnabout to walking down the aisle over a decade later, their journey has been nothing short of magical.
Finding The Dress
When it came time to shop for her gown, Jamie knew exactly where she wanted to go—Dimitra’s Bridal—and exactly who she wanted to work with: her longtime friend and consultant, Alexandra.
Jamie said “yes” to an incredible crepe gown by Romona Keveza, featuring modern floral lace appliqués and a dramatic structured organza overskirt. The overskirt added just the right amount of ceremony-day grandeur, which she later removed for a chic, reception-ready look.
Reflecting on her dress, Jamie shared:
“Elegant, chic, beautiful and timeless—that’s how I felt in my gown. I truly can’t imagine buying my wedding dress at any other place! With the help of all of the staff, but especially Alexandra, my dream dress came to life and was the cherry on top to the aesthetic of our special day!”
A Love Story That Started With a Dance
Jamie and Mason’s story began at her freshman year turnabout dance. The very next day, Mason sent her a Facebook message asking if she was “the girl [he] danced with last night.” For Jamie, it felt like a modern-day Cinderella story—only instead of a glass slipper, it was a pair of chic Steve Madden platform pumps that “fit” perfectly.
Over the past 11 years, the two grew side by side—celebrating wins, overcoming challenges, and building the kind of true partnership that makes a marriage shine. As Jamie put it:
“We fill in each other’s blank spaces to create something whole. Our relationship is my center—calm, connected, joyful, and always unapologetically us.”
A Wedding Full of Heart
Jamie and Mason poured themselves into their wedding day, creating what Jamie described as a “deeply personal life campaign that finally launched.” Every detail was designed to feel sentimental, chic, and timeless, while also making each guest feel part of their story.
The highlight? A surprise appearance by Herky the Hawk flying in from Iowa City—an unforgettable moment for their alumni friends and family that had everyone cheering.
