Before diving headfirst into dress shopping, recognize that you have to Trust the Process! Finding your gown is truly a process from beginning to end and being aware of that is half the battle.
From the start, be open and honest with your consultant and, most importantly, yourself. Wedding dress shopping can seem overwhelming, but if you are honest about what you like and don’t like and open to trying things your consultant suggests, you’ll find yourself at a much more comfortable place.
It’s ok to not find a dress at your first appointment; some brides do, and some don’t! There is no right or wrong way to go about it. Know that all appointments are important, and it just gets you closer to finding your gown. You may need to come back to see a trunk show or a new gown that will be delivered the following week. Whatever the case may be, trust that your consultant has your best interest at heart and is there to guide you through the process.
