When your wedding day feels like a scene straight out of a snow globe, you know it’s going to be magic—and Heather’s wedding to Jason in Aspen, Colorado was just that.
Heather stunned in a breathtaking silk A-line Romona Keveza gown from Dimitra’s Bridal Couture. With a plunging neckline and delicate pearl embellishments covering every inch of fabric, the gown was nothing short of enchanting. “I felt like a snow princess,” Heather told us—and that’s exactly how she looked.
With back-and-forth alterations trying to get her gown hemmed to her ski boots – Heather still had nothing but glowing words about her experience at the salon:
“I absolutely loved Dimitra’s and would recommend anyone I know to shop for a dress there! The selection was amazing and my person, Rachel, was amazing to work with!”
A Love Story Written in the Snow
Heather and Jason met online in late 2022—both cautiously optimistic and not exactly looking for forever. But after bonding over bourbon, ski trips, and spontaneous travel plans, their “just for fun” connection quickly became something deeper. By Christmas, they were spending holidays together, dreaming up future plans.
In December of 2023, Jason proposed in the most sentimental way—on the plot of land where their new home would eventually be built. “He wanted our first memory in the house to be the proposal,” Heather shared. And with that, wedding planning was on!
March 8, 2025: The Wedding Day
Aspen, Colorado served as the snowy, storybook-perfect setting for Heather and Jason’s big day. Despite wild travel delays and flight cancellations, every single guest made it in time for the weekend festivities—including Heather’s grandparents, in their 90s, who were driven all the way from Denver after their flight was canceled. Four generations celebrated love together that weekend, and the joy was palpable.
The couple kept their bridal party intimate, with Heather’s sister serving as Maid of Honor and her two nieces as flower girls. Jason had his father as Best Man and his best friend as their officiant.
One of the most memorable moments? The first look on Aspen Mountain. The bride and groom took separate gondolas to the top for a private, emotional reveal with stunning mountain views and bluebird skies. “We felt on top of the world,” Heather said—and they meant it literally. After photos, the couple and a ski-ready wedding crew—including Heather’s dad in his tux and sister in a wedding jumper—skied down the mountain in full wedding attire. Yes, really. Heather had even had her dress hemmed to perfectly hit her ski boots!
Guests waiting at the bottom were treated to a champagne toast at Ajax Tavern, soundtracked by “Marry You” by Bruno Mars. Absolute perfection.
Après-Ski Ceremony & Celebration
The party continued at MOLLIE Aspen, where Heather and Jason held their ceremony on the rooftop, cocktail hour included. Guests were greeted with drinks before, during, and after the ceremony—ensuring no one was ever without a libation in hand. The celebration then flowed into the lobby restaurant for a cozy, cocktail-style reception complete with a “charcuter-ski” and open mingling.
The combination of high altitude and champagne starting at noon created the perfect storm for celebration—and a sparkler send-off that closed the evening with flair (though no one made it to the afterparty!).
A Day to Remember
Heather and Jason’s wedding was a blend of elegance, adventure, and deeply personal moments—made all the more special by the people who braved planes, snow, and altitude to be there.
