When Hana began her journey to find the perfect wedding gown, she knew it had to be as unique and elegant as her love story with Brad. Partnering with her consultant Alex at Dimitra’s Bridal Couture, Hana discovered the magic of Amsale—a gown that spoke to her vision and style. With customizations that made it entirely her own, Hana walked down the aisle in a dress that was timeless yet deeply personal. Her wedding at the chic Morgan Manufacturing Company was a celebration of love, laughter, and unforgettable style, perfectly reflecting the radiant bride and her love for Brad.
Hana and Brad’s Love Story
“Hana and Brad would not have met had it not been to Brad’s sister, Jodi. Hana and Jodi were in the same sorority pledge class at University of Michigan and Hana needed a date for semi-formal freshman year. Jodi gave Hana two options, one of which was her brother Brad. Hana picked Brad and the rest is history. Despite Brad growing up telling his family and friends that he would never get married, over the course of eight years Brad realized that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Hana and proposed in the South of France. A year and a half later, they had their dream wedding surrounded by 200 of their family members and friends in Chicago.” – Real Bride Hana
From Ceremony to Reception
“At the beginning of the wedding planning process, Hana and Brad had a few desires in mind: an entirely black and white wedding, there would be spectacular food the entire time, everyone would be on the dance floor from start to finish, and all guests would feel their love. They can confidently say that all of those elements came true and their wedding was truly the best day of their lives. The Jewish ceremony took place in the round, making the large space feel intimate and giving everyone a view of what was happening under their chuppah adorned with strands of white gladiolus flowers. The reception began with Hana and Brad’s choreographed first dance to “Iris” by the Goo Goo Dolls. During the reception, everyone danced their hearts out, ate delicious food, and drank amazing drinks. The night ended with a silent disco after party that took place under a three-foot disco ball.” – Real Bride Hana
Hana’s Dimitra’s Bridal Experience
“From start to finish, I absolutely loved my Dimitra’s Bridal experience. The first time I tried on dresses at Dimitra’s, I was new to wedding dress shopping and had a vision in my head, but wasn’t entirely sure what I wanted. After trying on a number of dresses, with help from consultant Alex, there was a clear frontrunner that I liked, but turned out I wanted something a bit more special. It was getting to the wire of needing to order a dress so it would come in time, and I enjoyed my first appointment at Dimitra’s so I made a return appointment — this time, my mom was out of town so I brought my best friend since elementary school and her mom. It turned out there was an Amsale Nouvelle trunk show going on (the final day of the trunk show, might I add), so there were brand new dresses for me to try. The moment I slipped the Atlas gown on, I finally had that feeling and we were all tearing up. I knew I couldn’t say ‘yes’ without my mom, so Dimitra’s worked some magic to secure me another appointment two days later and worked with Amsale to keep the dress an extra couple days. I returned with my mom the next Monday and tears immediately flooded her eyes — we both knew it was the one. Dimitra’s worked directly with the designer to remove the bow and add buttons to the zipper instead. Fast forward to my gown arriving, and I actually looked forward to each of my alterations appointments. Doreena was truly a gem and even surprised me at my final fitting with making the bodice a little tighter, something she knew I wanted. The number of compliments I received on my gown is astounding and I owe it all to Dimitra’s!” Real Bride Hana
