When a bride says she felt “couture, beautiful, and very designer” on her wedding day, you know the gown was the one. For our real bride Katelin, it was a striking, clean, yet avant-garde Nardos gown that stole her heart and perfectly captured her modern, editorial bridal vision.
Katelin and Steven tied the knot in a stunning traditional Catholic ceremony followed by a glamorous celebration at the Trump Hotel and Towers in Chicago. The day reflected who they are as a couple—elegant, joyful, full of personality, and surrounded by love.
From the moment Katelin walked into Dimitra’s Bridal Couture, there was magic in the air.
“My experience was absolutely amazing,” Katelin shared. “It ended in happy tears with my entire family and stylist. She was absolutely amazing and helped me find the dress of my dreams. Every single person at the wedding told me they have never seen a dress fit a person so well and match their personality and person as a whole.”

A Love Story That Started with a Swipe
Katelin and Steven’s story began in classic modern fashion—with a Bumble swipe in the summer of 2021. Their first date was on June 8th at Arbella in downtown Chicago. In a plot twist that would make any rom-com proud, Katelin (who admits she’s perpetually late) actually arrived 30 minutes early. “Really tricked Steven on that one,” she joked. “But I quickly showed my true late colors.”
Since then, their journey has been one of adventure and togetherness—traveling to visit family in Ohio and Florida, attending weddings, cheering on Notre Dame and St. Mary’s, and skiing the slopes of Colorado.
The Most Thoughtful Proposal
On January 27, 2024, Katelin’s closest friends orchestrated a girls’ day out, starting with brunch at Avli on the Park. What Katelin didn’t know was that Steven (and their dog Brody!) were waiting across the park near the St. Regis Hotel, ready with the most important question of her life.
The day continued with surprise after surprise, as loved ones from near and far gathered to celebrate their engagement—setting the tone for a wedding weekend filled with thoughtful touches and unforgettable moments.
The Dream Wedding Weekend
From Thursday to Sunday, the couple’s wedding weekend was a joyful whirlwind:
• Thursday: Hosting out-of-town guests at their home.
• Friday: A heartfelt rehearsal dinner at Shaw’s followed by a late-night gathering at Rebar, reconnecting with friends and family from all over.
• Saturday: The big day, surrounded by all the women closest to Katelin for champagne, glam, and a dance party before her two very special first looks—one with her girls, and one with her father before riding to the church in a classic Packard car.
The ceremony took place in one of Chicago’s most beautiful German historic churches, known for having the city’s longest aisle—a perfect match for Katelin’s dramatic entrance.
Despite the blistering cold, the newlyweds captured stunning post-ceremony photos at North Avenue Beach, Union Station, and under the glowing Chicago Theatre sign—where a little rain added extra sparkle to the magic.
The reception? A true showstopper.
From a live pianist during cocktail hour to a cinematic video introduction set to the soundtrack of Meet Joe Black, every detail was curated with intention. Sparklers lit up the dance floor during their first dance, and glowsticks kept the energy going all night long.
Katelin and Steven’s wedding was a reflection of their love—elevated, full of character, and brimming with joy. We’re honored to have been part of their journey and to have played a small role in helping Katelin feel her most radiant, stylish self.
