I originally wasn’t planning to walk out the same day with my dress, but after my mother-in-law asked if I could try on one last dress before we left—I fell in love with the dress she picked!”

Songee and her husband’s love story began in the halls of Notre Dame, where they were both pursuing their master’s degrees. What started as a group project turned into a friendship that eventually blossomed into something more.
“My husband and I met while getting our master’s degrees at Notre Dame. We started as group project teammates, then friends, and eventually started dating. After graduating, we both moved to Chicago and have been loving living in the city ever since!”

As proud Chicagoans, Songee and her husband wanted their wedding to be a tribute to the city they love. They chose iconic Chicago locations for their celebration, creating a timeless and unforgettable day.
Their wedding ceremony took place at the breathtaking Holy Name Cathedral, a historic Chicago landmark with stunning stained-glass windows that set a magical atmosphere.
“We had a beautiful afternoon ceremony at Holy Name Cathedral, with light flooding into the stained-glass windows, creating a moment even more beautiful than I could have imagined.”
After saying “I do,” the newlyweds and their guests moved to the Empire Room at the Palmer House, an elegant venue that perfectly captured the grandeur and romance of a classic Chicago wedding.
“We celebrated and danced the night away surrounded by all the people we love—it was the perfect day!”
