Wedding dress shopping is NOT like shopping for your prom dress! It is so important to be open minded because it is shopping you have never done before. You go into the process with an idea of what you like, but that doesn’t always mean you will like it on you. This is where your consultant comes in!
Trust your consultant
You will show your consultant and talk through what you are liking and not liking based off of images you’ve saved or dresses you have previously tried on. She will then fill your dressing room with gowns that are in your wheelhouse. However, there is usually that wildcard in there; a gown that has elements of what you spoke about, but nothing you would pick yourself. Time to be open minded!
Try it on, give it a whirl, because there is a big chance you will fall in love. Should the fit be just right? Yes! Should there be just enough sparkle? Yes! Does it have that lace element you were looking for? Yes! But…that’s not “IT”…you have to say yes to the feeling you get when you immediately look at yourself in the mirror. Most times “IT” is nothing you expected.
So, be open minded, get excited about the whole process and know that your consultant has got your back!
