One of the most coveted haute couture designers in the world, Zuhair Murad brings the same ultra chic style and impeccable construction to his bridal collection, infusing the traditional wedding gown with elements that reflect the haute couture runway trends fo the moment. The Fall 2015 wedding dresses are feminine, romantic and sexy, and the season brings a wide range of styles, some of which we are seeing for the first time in the bridal collection. The bohemian chic Mauriane gown shown above was immediately one of our favorites – a truly modern take on the boho sheath, we love everything about this gown – the high neck and long sleeves, the fluid silhouette and the artisitic placement of linear elements among the hand sewn guipure lace elements. She is perfection.
The Fall 2015 collection also introduces several fit and flare sheaths that bring the focus back to basics – fabric, silhouette and signature details. Our favorite of these gowns was the Malie wedding dress, shown above. We could not resist the couture detailing on this bridal gown – the hand sewn lace has a subtle sparkle and is perfectly placed for tasteful balance of tradition and sex appeal. The silhouette is soft and fluid, fitting to the lower hip and then widening gradually to a dramatic embellished hem and breathtaking train.
The Zuhair Murad mariage collection is never repetitive, and Fall 2015 was no different! The Macy wedding gown above was unlike any other in this season’s line up, featuring a soft A Line silhouette, and flattering, linear beadwork on a short sleeved, illusion bodice with a plunging backline. This contemporary princess bride is just as much a fashionista as she is a romantic. Chic, girly, modern, sweet – all come together in this unique wedding dress.
The sheer fit and flare wedding gown with long sleeves and a removable train is Zuhair Murad’s bridal signature. The artfully placed lace and subtle sparkle of “Mia”are irresistible. The train is a subdued version of this style, adding a subtle A Line shape and breathtaking train to the bridal silhouette.
The hand cut and sewn three dimensional lace of the Magda gown shown below, absolutely took our breath away. In person, she is absolutely breathtaking – a midsummer night’s dream! The modified A Line silhouette adds to the unapologetically demure and feminine style of this bridal gown – Magda boldly stands apart from her sheer, low back sisters in the collection!
Melissa, shown above and below, left us speechless. What a perfect gown for a chic, winter wedding! The drama of removing this skirt cannot be overstated – these are truly two stunning gowns in one! The texture of the skirt and the delicate lace of the sheath are a stark contrast to each other and the high neck is the type of couture styling that makes this bridal gown unforgettable!
Soft silhouettes and fluid lines defined the Zuhair Murad Fall 2015 bridal collection, and Manon and Marine are perfect examples of this. Illusion necklines, pleated A Line skirts, and embellished sleeves all speak to the romantic and timeless designs of the season’s bridal trends.
