A Leah Da Gloria Gown & a Texan Wedding with Couture Flair

Updated: May 9, 2025

Some love stories begin with grand gestures, and others—like Elan and Jeremy’s—begin with a simple, bold question: “Want to take a shot?”

Elan and Jeremy first met in October 2019 at a Consultant Community event in Denver, Colorado. A team dinner and night out led them to the Lustre Pearl bar, where Jeremy found the perfect excuse to strike up a one-on-one conversation. Their connection was instant, and their very first photo together—taken in the bar’s photobooth—captured a moment neither of them would forget.

The spark they felt that night carried across state lines until June 2020, when Elan moved to Chicago. Jeremy welcomed her with a bag of blue Sour Patch Kids (her favorite), a margarita kit (her favorite drink), and a calendar invite for their first official date. That night, they dined at The Dawson and Aba—now two of their favorite restaurants—and kicked off a relationship full of travel, laughter, family memories, and shared adventures.

In January 2023, Jeremy proposed on a balcony overlooking the Chicago River, just steps from one of those first date spots. Naturally, Elan said yes.

The Dress: Couture Confidence in Leah Da Gloria

For her wedding day, Elan chose a gown that matched the elegance and individuality of her love story. She wore Giselle by Australian designer Leah Da Gloria, complete with a detachable overskirt for added drama. The gown featured beautiful structure, refined detail, and a silhouette that felt both timeless and modern.

When asked how the gown made her feel, Elan shared:

“Beautiful, confident, and bridal.”

We were honored to help bring that vision to life at Dimitra’s Bridal Couture.

“I loved my experience at Dimitra’s!! Everyone was so kind and helpful from the moment I had my first appointment to when I brought my dress home,” Elan said. “I truly cannot thank everyone at Dimitra’s enough for making me look and feel amazing on my day!”

The Wedding: Black Tie Glam Meets Texas Charm

Elan and Jeremy tied the knot at Sandlewood Manor in Houston, Texas in a black-tie celebration with a Southern twist. Their design vision was classic and elevated: white chiffon and florals for the ceremony, black linens and lounge furniture for the reception, and a striking black-and-white checkered dance floor. Candlelight set the tone, and the elegance was balanced with intentional, personalized details.

The wedding weekend embraced Texas flair, starting with a rehearsal dinner at the historic Houstonian Manor House, once home to the Bush family. Guests also enjoyed welcome drinks at a Western bar featuring live country music—setting the mood for the weekend ahead. At the reception, Elan and Jeremy surprised guests with second looks that included cowboy hats, and their close family and friends even received hats as gifts.

Their multicultural celebration also paid homage to Jeremy’s Jewish heritage and Elan’s Middle Eastern background, with thoughtful touches woven throughout the cuisine, music, and dancing.

From their first shot in Denver to the last dance in Houston, Elan and Jeremy’s wedding was the perfect blend of sophistication, culture, and heart. Elan, thank you for letting Dimitra’s Bridal Couture be a part of such a special chapter in your love story. You were an absolute vision in Leah Da Gloria, and we wish you and Jeremy a lifetime of love and laughter.
