An Italian Gown in an Italianate Designed Mansion

Updated: June 9, 2023

When the Cuneo Masion and Gardens was designed in 1916 with an Italianate style, by Chicago architect Benjamin Marshall, it’s to be assumed he did not think weddings would be held with brides wearing gowns designed and manufactured in Italy. However, that is exactly what bride Olivia wore during her Fall wedding to her, now, husband Chris. Olivia chose a Valentini Spose gown in their signature silk mikado. She added an element of surprise by choosing a perfectly dramatic overskirt that could be removed during the reception. The clean lines, curved fabrication and utter timelessness of Olivia’s gown, mimicked most of the architecture in at the venue. Olivia graced the Cuneo’s garden grounds with and elegant and modern bridal look that Dimitra’s is grateful to have been a part of.

“Had an amazing experience at Dimitria’s compared to other bridal shops. You guys made it a fun experience, were very helpful and very patient.” Real Bride Olivia

Thank you Olivia, we loved working with you!
