One of the most exciting runway presentations at New York Bridal Fashion Week is always that of the Inbal Dror bridal collection. Leading boutiques, fashion bloggers and magazine editors anxiously await the new collection to see what this trend setting bridal designer has dreamt up for Fall 2016 brides! The anticipation for her latest wedding dresses has everyone camera and cell phone ready, eager to be the first to capture the images our brides are waiting for! The first dress to come down the runway set the tone for the collection – Inbal Dror once again challenges notions of the traditional bridal gown. We consider it part of a microcollection within the Fall 2016 gowns, whose focus is on the non traditional, fashionista bride. These gowns give a nod the hottest ready to wear trends, including one we would have never expected – menswear! We loved this shirt dress, with its combination of a demure neckline and daring slits. The buttoned up collar is countered beautifully by the high slits in the front of the skirt which seem to get higher as each button closes, to raise up the neckline.
The shirt collar floats over a deep V neckline and is removable, revealing a plunging V underneath that leaves little to the imagination! This is perfect for the nontraditional, edgy bride who is looking for a wedding dress that will make a personal fashion statement, and is also potentially rewearable.
The softer sister to this dress is just as daring in her details – with her sheer point d’esprit bodice, plunging V neckline and trendy bow blouse styling – but she is much more feminine in her execution. The bow that ties up the deep V in front is undeniably sweet, while the soft blush lining and finger tip, chantilly lace sleeves make this dress feel heaven sent.
Off the shoulder necklines were a hot trend for Fall 2016 weddings and Inbal’s take on the trend is a two in one wedding dress that is truly undetectable! A long sleeve, chantilly sheath is layered over an uber chic mini dress of silver lace and sparkling, white embroidery. Both pieces are stunning together and on their own, so that the bride sacrifices nothing when she is ready to shed a layer and enjoy her party! For all the brides who wish they could wear their dress again – this dual gown offers a rewearability factor that is hard to resist!
The next three dresses were among the most glam and sexy wedding gowns we saw on any runway at New York Bridal Fashion Week. We cannot help but admit we loved the fit and style of these dresses as they came down the runway! While they are admittedly only for the most daring of brides, they would also make for the most AMAZING rehearsal dinner or reception dresses a bride could ask for!
How nice would it be to walk in to your closet post wedding and see one of these beauties hanging there? These dresses are for girls with serious dreams!
