Visiting the Stephen Yearick showroom is like a home away from home for us at New York Bridal Fashion Week.
Lead designer Leigh Price presented his latest creations for brides in Fall 2015, and they absolutely took our breath away! Glamorous femininity defines the latest bridal collection, with the stunning embroideries and beadwork that are this design house's signature!
The Stephen Yearick collection has been incorporating color in their wedding designs long before it was a popular trend. The designer's unique ability to layer different shades of fabric to achieve a subtle effect makes the choice of a colored bridal gown easy for most brides. The Fall 2015 collection featured several gowns in barely there hues of blush, gold and champagne.
One of the first gowns we saw was this softly blushing transitional column gown, with its removable tulle skirt. We love the combination of geometric sequinig and a softly draped cowl back - the latter adds just the right amount of softness and romance to an otherwise modern, glamorous wedding dress. We can easily imagine this gown in a hip, downtown hotel or event space, perhaps for a New Year's Eve wedding! She is perfect for the bride who wants to wear both the traditional A Line and then a glamorous sheath to dance the night away in!
Plunging, low backs continue to be a bridal trend seen in most collections for Fall 2015 brides. The Stephen Yearick collection's interpretation included a play on the traditional wedding dress - by incorporating removable skirts and trains, these designs give the bride both a classic wedding gown and a fashion forward dress that brides are loving today!
The bridal gown below is perfect for the princess bride who loves the idea of a ballgown just as much as a fit and flare bridal gown with a revealing, illusion back. From sweet to sexy in a moment, these gowns truly give the bride two looks in one, each as breathtaking as the other!
Perfect for the bride who prefers a softer silhouette, the next wedding gown is utterly romantic - we can imagine it in a modern downtown space as well as an outdoor wedding. The sheer overskirt and its delicate lace treatment on the hem give this bridal gown an ethereal, effortless feeling. It is easy to imagine the train floating along in a garden wedding or on the sands of an elegant beach wedding!
For the bride who prefers a fitted silhouette and something a bit less traditional, this unique wedding dress had us swooning as soon as she appeared. The placement of the lace defines the silhouette of the ruched bodice beautifully, while framing the collar bone and the back as a work of art!
For the bride who wants to be in the spotlight, this last wedding gown is sheer glamour! Featuring a clean, modern silhouette, the eye is drawn up to the beautiful, off the shoulder neckline and the bride's face. The illusion back is adorned with just enough romantic embroidery and sparkle to show off the bride's silhouette.
